About Ranjitha Suresh

Ranjitha Suresh is an established Hindustani Classical Vocalist residing in Melbourne, Australia. She is a senior disciple of Sri Koushik Aithal, Bangalore. Born in a family of musicians, she started singing at the age of 4.
Ranjitha was formally introduced to Carnatic classical music at the age of 6 under the tutelage of Vid. Asha Jagadish who guided her to complete Senior Grade. Her inclination towards Hindustani classical music initiated her to learn under Guru Smt.Indrakshi Srivatsa, Smt.Meghana Kulkarni and at present from Sri Koushik Aithal for the last 8years. Her gayaki reflects Kirana, Gwalior, and Patiala Gharana styles.
Ranjitha also holds a master degree in Commerce and has served as a lecturer for 4years in her hometown Bangalore.

Concerts

Ranjitha's classical renditions were recognized in Melbourne, Australia when she moved in March 2019. Her first international concert was organized by Melbourne Hindustani Classical music Society (MHCMS) in May 2019. Her elaborated Raag presentation with subtle nuances, vibrant aesthetics, and intricate thaans was appreciated and acknowledged by the audience. This followed by a string of performances which includes the prestigious Melbourne International Festival of Hindustani Classical Music in March 2020 where Ranjitha had the opportunity to perform alongside great maestros like Vid. Ashwini Bhide, Pt. Sugato nag, Pt.Abhijeet Banerjee, and many others.

Ranjitha also performed for various organizations through virtual platforms in 2020, which includes Mohan Nadkarni Foundation based in New Zealand, Nataraj Sangeet Vidyalaya, Bagalkot, and many more.

Ranjitha has been teaching Hindustani classical music in Melbourne. She also teaches through online platforms and has students from Bangalore, Sydney, UK as well.

Ranjitha takes individual sessions where the students are given utmost attention to learn and reciprocate the tune and intricacies efficiently. She also takes group lessons for light music forms.
